What actually happens between your order and the parcel.

Cutting

Every piece is cut individually to the length you chose. Cloth is laid flat and rested before cutting — fabric that has been on a roll wants to move, and a piece cut on unrested cloth will hang wrong six months later.

Sewing

One machinist takes a piece from first seam to last. Hems on our heavier cloths are finished by hand, because a machine hem on weight like that leaves a ripple you can see across a room.

Finishing

Every piece is pressed on a form, not flat, and checked in daylight before it is folded. Anything that does not pass goes back to the machinist, not to you.

Packing

Folded with tissue along the seams so the creases fall where they will hang out, not across the front.
